“That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience”.

Titus 2:2

Activities

Our men of faith played a commendable role in the construction and extension of our church. They not only prayed and gave cheerfully but also organized and supervised the entire construction work.Members of the mens fellowship are involved in various other activities as well. On the third Sunday of every month Gospel is proclaimed to the neighbouring villages with zeal. A few days before Christmas, the mens fellowship members along with the youth organise and carryout carrol round .Every year, at the second week of December, a visit to Government hospital is organised. Along with a meal and gifts, Gospel is proclaimed to the people there, who are affected by leprosy. Contribution is made from men’s fellowship to provide clothing, books and note books for the poor during Christmas Eve as Jesus said, “Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven”(Matthew 5:16). Men’s fellowship members actively participate in organising festival celebrations in the church. IMS & GMS Sunday is the all awaited event for the faithful men of our Church. They take immense efforts to raise funds to support the missionaries by skillfully employing various sales methods on IMS & GMS Sunday. During the feast on the Church dedication day, members of the men’s fellowship organise and take part in the entire event.

Men’s fellowship and Diocese

Every week, prayer meetings are conducted at the homes of two of the members. Thus fellowship among the families of the church is enhanced. The members of our men’s fellowship regularly attend and represent our church in the Diocese gathering organised for the representatives of the men’s fellowship of all churches in the Diocese which is conducted quarterly at Victoria middle school. There, plans for the activities of men’s fellowship in the next quarter are made. A special Diocese men’s grand meeting is organised once in a while. In such a gathering conducted on 2011 at Kutralam, 4 of our members represented our church. The mission of the men’s fellowship of Proclaiming the gospel and helping the poor and the needy was pondered upon. It can be seen that men’s fellowship has acted as a link between the church and the Diocese.

Mission fields

The men’s fellowship members played an admirable role in the construction of churches at the mission fields. They have paid visits to the mission fields in addition to cheerfully giving to the Lord. Churches have been dedicated even amidst stern opposition in certain places. Our men of faith have stood by the church and the clergy in such circumstances.

“The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock”.
